The Bethnal Green Sharks had a successful medal-winning weekend when they competed in the Waltham Forest Swimming Age Group.

The most successful swimmer was Bobbie McCarthy, 15, who won gold medals in the 200 metres individual medley, the 200m freestyle, the 100m butterfly and breaststroke, plus a silver medal for the 100m backstroke.

All the Ramsay family earned medals.

Stanley Ramsay, 13, won gold medals in the 200m freestyle and 100m backstroke, while Frank Ramsay, 11, won a gold medal in the 100m backstroke, a silver medal in the 200m freestyle and a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke.

Nine-year-old Edie Ramsay won gold in the 200m freestyle and 100m IM.

Limamou Kante, 10, struck gold in the 200m IM and freestyle, plus silver medals in the 100m IM, backstroke and breaststroke, and bronze in the 100m butterfly.

Courtney Bilbrough, 14, won a gold medal in the 100m breaststroke and a bronze in the 100m butterfly, as well as a pennant for fourth in the 200m freestyle.

Brid Cudmore, 17, won silver medals in the 200m freestyle and 100m breaststroke.

Her sister, 11-year-old Kaia, won a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke and a bronze in the 200m freestyle.

And nine-year-old Melissa Eldidin won a bronze in the 100m IM.

Tara Lewis, 12, competing in her first age group, was ninth in the 200m freestyle.

Leonardo Revrenna, 11, won a bronze medal in the 100m butterfly, was fifth in the 100m breaststroke and sixth in the 100m backstroke.

Nine-year-old Kai Ogden won a bronze medal in the 200m IM, was fourth in the 200m breaststroke and fifth in the 200m freestyle.
