Youngsters can enjoy a few games of cricket over the summer holidays
Young cricket enthusiasts summer holidays just got a whole load better if they’re itching to get playing or keen on trying out the sport.
The Middlesex Cricket Board, who have a partnership with the Lords Taverners and Tower Hamlets Cricket Club, announced they are holding cricket sessions free of charge for eight to fourteen year old’s across the borough starting on Tuesday.
Any local youngsters interested in getting involved are welcome to take part in the sessions over the summer holidays and benefit from Middlesex Cricket Board’s professional coaching.
The sessions will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at different parks including Stepney Park, Millwall Park, Victoria Park and at Play on Sports in Whitechapel.
It doesn’t have to end after the holidays either, if you’ve got the cricket bug, you can continue playing at these parks right the way up until October half term.
Stepney Park: Tuesdays, 4pm to 6pm
Millwall Park: Wednesdays, 4pm to 6pm
Victoria Park: Thursdays, 4pm to 6pm
Play on Sports: Whitechapel – Thursday, 4pm to 6pm
