BETHNAL Green Karate club were flushed with success at last weekend's BKK British national knockdown tournament in Reading.

All four of the club's fighters finished in the medal positions at the competition, which featured 48 clubs from across the United Kingdom.

Tim Diacon was narrowly beaten into the runner-up spot in the middleweight novice section following a thrilling four-round final bout.

Vic Konakonis finished in joint third place in the middleweight novice section after three gruelling fights.
