East London 7 Phoenix 0 Henry Emery marked his East London firsts debut with a man-of-the-match performance and two goals to help the Division 3SE table-toppers demolish their fifth-placed opponents at Mile End Stadium.

Adam Willoughby’s men resumed action after their winter break with a clinical display to keep their unbeaten record intact.

Phoenix’s ultra-defensive approach to the match looked to be paying dividends as the first half ended only 1-0 to the home team.But, after East London notched their second soon after the break, the need to attack left them exposed to an orange onslaught.

Emery netted twice, with Felix Evans and Toby Lawley Butler also scoring two each. Dan Collis produced a lovely finish to add to the score.

? The second team survived a tense finale to come out 3-2 winners in a topsy-turvy game against Maldon & Little Baddow.

After throwing away a 1-0 half-time lead, East London had to fight back from 2-1 down to claim the upper hand and were thankful for a glaring late miss by the opposition with their last attack of the game.

? The men’s third team failed to capitalise on the lion’s share of possession and chances in their 2-1 defeat to Saffron Walden and remain deep in relegation trouble – just one point off the bottom of the Division 4SE table.

Felicity Patterson hit a stunning hat-trick to help move East London ladies firsts up to fourth in the Division 2SW table on Saturday.

Patterson provided the goal of the game after combining with fellow goalscorer Robyn Shears (2) to loft the ball into the top corner of the net from distance.

Baitong Chantaruck, Emma Withycombe and Stevie Jennings-Adams also scored, before Danielle Paffard rounded off a comfortable victory.

? The top-of-the-league second team also racked up a big victory, seeing off Thurrock 7-0 to extend their winning run to 11 games.

Left-winger Emma Haugh hit a hat-trick to take her tally for the season to 13.

? The third and fourth teams both sit in second position in their respective leagues after another successful weekend.

Three goals from club top-scorer Meenal Patel sent the third team on their way to a 4-2 win over Harlow, while the fourth team dug deep to edge past Southend & Benfleet 2-1.

? An under-strength fifth team were unable to bring any points home from a trip to Essex, losing 6-0 to Upminster.
