East London Sunday League round-up

East Moore have reached the second round of the Jubilee Cup after a thrilling extra-time win against Premier Division rivals Homerton Rangers.

The Stepney club came through the first-round clash after Tony Field scored twice, while Sean Brown and Aarom Marston were also on target in the 4-2 win.

Troy Deeming was named as East Moore's man of the match after an outstanding individual display.

It was another disappointing afternoon for reigining Premier Division champions Meath United, who crashed to a shock 3-0 defeat against Hackney Downs A.

Meath have yet to win a match this season and are in danger of falling behind in the race for silverware as they chase a third title in succession.

The shock result of the round saw Concordia claim a 5-2 extra-time win over Premier Division outfit AC Lucia, while Railway Tavern cruised into the second round following an 11-1 thrashing of Ollerton Green.

Holloway are also through after defeating White Swan & Cuckoo 3-1.

William Fitt Lions were forced into extra-time by White Hart Rapids before securing a 4-2 win, with N Marshall, A Murphy, T Wedderburn and J Sems-Williams scoring the goals.

Woodgrange Rovers won narrowly against Hare & Hounds by a 5-4 scoreline, while Hatch Lane inflicted the first defeat of the season on Docklands Amateurs with a 4-1 win.

Meanwhile, Hackney Downs B cruised past Cladestinos Football Art by a 10-2 scoreline, while EFY A beat Hench 4-1 and EFY B were awarded a bye into the next round following a no-show from opponents Crownfield.

Also awarded byes were holders Millwall Albion and Young Prince after their opponents arrived late for their games.

In the preliminary round, league newcomers The 45s cruised past Jubba 9-0 to set up a meeting with Larkswood.
