Goals from Saim Hussain and Atiqur Rahman inspire Beanibazar to pre-season win

Beanibazar edged out rivals Dakshin Surma in a friendly contest recently ahead of the upcoming Greater Sylhet Upazila Cup tournament.

Goals from Saim Hussain and Atiqur Rahman handed Emdad Rahman’s Beanibazar a 2-0 success.

Dakshin Surma, who have recently appointed Aktar Hussain as player-manager, made the brighter start, but failed to take their chances.

Saim Hussain and Atiqur Rahman scored either side of the break to hand Beanibazar a deserved victory.

Ash Rahman impressed for Emdad Rahman’s team to leave his manager happy.

Emdad Rahman said: “It was a good run out and win. Aktar Hussain likes to set up a hard running team but we handled that threat well.

“The boys were composed and unhurried. I’m glad we stayed injury free.

“Gous Ahmed impressed in goal and he will learn lots from working with seasoned campaigner Kunu Miah.

“For us it’s very much a case of one game at a time.”
