The Cards 100 per cent record at Kingfield Stadium was ended following two Macauley Bonne goals

Woking boss Anthony Limbrick was disappointed his team made it easy for Leyton Orient during Saturday’s 2-0 win in the National League.

After O’s 6-1 defeat at Bromley on Tuesday, Steve Davis saw the perfect response from players at the weekend.

Macauley Bonne scored twice to delight the travelling Orient faithful, but the Cards manager was far from pleased come the full time whistle.

“I really was disappointed with the performance. I thought in all the areas of our game and with what we are about like our pressing, tempo, passing and getting close to people we just didn’t do it,” said Limbrick.

“We made it an easy day for Leyton Orient after the tough result they had on Tuesday and given the good result we had against Eastleigh on the same night, you would have thought it was the other way round.

“I think the players gave the maximum effort, worked hard and tried, but we didn’t put together what we planned like we did on Tuesday.”

One of the many positives for Orient was a second clean sheet of the season for young goalkeeper Charlie Grainger.

After conceding six times at Bromley, a strong defensive showing was pivotal and the east Londoners delivered.

But former West Ham United academy coach Limbrick felt his Woking team could have looked to test Grainger more and give him a tougher examination.

He added: “We didn’t create enough chances and their goalkeeper didn’t make enough saves. We didn’t put enough pressure on them by passing and moving the ball well enough.

“The first goal was important, but I felt at half time, coming in 0-0, we hadn’t played our best and we knew we could do a lot better.

“We showed that in our first two home games against Gateshead and Eastleigh and we didn’t get to that level on Saturday.”
