Leyton Orient were punished for their mistakes on Tuesday night as Plymouth Argyle visited Brisbane Road and left with all three points.

Peter Hartley put the away side ahead just before half time when he was left free in the box following a free kick.

Jake Jervis added a second midway through the second period in almost identical fashion as he headed home when unmarked from a set piece.

Although Lloyd James pulled one back from the penalty spot, another mistake, this time by captain Mathieu Baudry, resulted in Jervis making it 3-1.

Alex Cisak (6) – Not his best evening as may have come out for the first and wasn’t quick enough to react to second ball for the third.

Nicky Hunt (5) – Had a difficult time up against Graham Carey and struggled, but did play intelligent pass to help win spot kick late on.

Mathieu Baudry (5) – Captain was in a battle from first whistle and gave his all, but errors slowly crept into his play and made crucial mistake in additional time.

Shaun Brisley (4) – Lost his head in the second half and it was detrimental to the team. He was on receiving end of bad challenge, but didn’t keep his cool and it showed.

Jerome Binnom-Williams (4) – Both goals from set pieces were a result of him not tracking his man and he failed to use the ball well enough in attacking positions.

Sean Clohessy (6.5) – Again playing out of position, but didn’t do a lot wrong. He put some decent deliveries into box before he was substituted.

Lloyd James (6) – Former Wales under-21 international showed a lot of bravery to take penalty and converted well. Was excellent in first half, but did struggle after break.

Nigel Atangana (7) – Much better from French ace after few below par performances, he was making tackles and very busy throughout up against a strong Plymouth midfield.

Blair Turgott (6) – Flattered to deceive on too many occasions. Ex-West Ham United youngster looked threatening, but could never deliver telling ball and lost his way after failed penalty appeal.

Jay Simpson (6) – Orient’s top goalscorer started brightly and had decent early effort, but was starved of service afterwards until Ollie Palmer was introduced and he looked lively in final exchanges.

Armand Gnanduillet (5) – Incredibly frustrating again, he worked harder than on Saturday, but just can’t hold the ball up and tries to keep balls in play by sliding when he could easily stand up and keep it in.

Substitutes:

Ollie Palmer, for Gnanduillet 63. (7.5) – What has this man got to do to start?! He was on the pitch a minute and played a part in Turgott nearly winning penalty. Former Mansfield Town ace then won spot kick of his own and was excellent.

Scott Kashket, for Clohessy 70. (6) – Difficult for young man, out of position and couldn’t get on ball much, but did have one bright run.

Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, for Turgott 86.
