George Sessions provides player ratings following the 3-0 loss away to Crawley Town in League Two on Saturday
After controlling proceedings for the opening 20 minutes, Leyton Orient conceded three times in the first half to lose 3-0 at Crawley Town and remain bottom of the League Two table.
Danny Webb’s team made a bright start at Broadfield Stadium, but their Achilles heel once again hit their hopes of picking up any points.
Orient’s defending from set-pieces was terrible and unfortunately too many players went missing when they were needed on Saturday.
Sam Sargeant (6) – Youngster was slightly unlucky with opener, although having got a hand to James Collins’ header, he would have been disappointed not to keep it out, but little chance with the other goals and didn’t do a lot wrong.
Myles Judd (7) – Another competent display from the 18-year-old and always stuck to his task; one of the few players who showed fight on Saturday.
Nicky Hunt (5.5) – Club captain was not at his best and made a lot of mistakes at the back on tough day for the majority of the back four.
Tom Parkes N/A – Brought off after 12 minutes having looked fairly solid during the opening exchanges at Broadfield Stadium.
Callum Kennedy (5.5) – Poor marking for the first goal saw Orient face an uphill battle and left-back could easily have been at fault for another goal late on had Enzio Boldewijn kept his cool with goal at his mercy. Bad day at the office.
Steven Alzate (7) – Silky teen has so much potential and deserved more for his effort at Crawley. He is so composed on the ball and should have won O’s a penalty late on. An encouraging performance.
Liam Kelly (7) – Vice-captain was constantly trying to get Orient moving forward even when they were 3-0 down. He showed plenty of energy when others were off the pace and had a hard task in the middle of the park with his partner letting him down.
Nigel Atangana (5.5) – Former Portsmouth midfielder was nowhere near his best and looked disinterested at times. On one occasion he could have headed the ball back into Crawley’s area and just let it go over his head. No energy and it is not good enough.
Sandro Semedo (6) – Poor day for the Portuguese winger and summed up with one shot which ballooned over the stadium. He couldn’t get on the ball enough and when he did, he lacked quality.
Josh Koroma (6.5) – Bright start by the academy star and got an effort off early before his supply line was blocked after the Crawley opener, yet signs of encouragement.
Gavin Massey (6) – Decent opening period for ex-Colchester United winger, but went missing after the hosts took control and didn’t get in possession enough when O’s needed him.
Teddy Mezague, for Parkes 12. (5) – His defending for the third goal was a joke and time after time he continues to let the ball bounce when it would be easier to clear. Dreadful display.
Rowan Liburd, for Koroma 62. (6) – Can’t remember him doing anything of note on Saturday other than getting caught offside a couple of times. Handed 30-minutes to impress and didn’t take it.
Henry Ochieng, for Atangana 81.
