Find out what Freddy Moncur, Sammy Moore and Michael Clark have got up to over the past week

Leyton Orient’s Freddy Moncur has had an instant impact at Bishop’s Stortford helping them pick up two important wins over the past week.

The 20-year-old inspired a 2-1 win over fellow National League South strugglers Weston-super-Mare on Saturday.

Orient’s young midfielder was involved in the opener when he squared a free kick to Michael Richens, who smashed home from 30-yards in the 14th minute.

Less than 60 seconds later and Moncur’s cross from the right was converted by Femi Akinwande to put Stortford two up.

Weston reduced the arrears in the 77th minute to make it nervy at the ProKit UK Stadium, but the hosts held on for a vital victory.

A couple of days later and the rearranged Hertfordshire Senior Cup tie with Colney Heath took place.

Stortford won 3-0 with Moncur setting up Evans Koussai for the third to cap an excellent week for the loan star.

Orient’s midfielder is set to feature for the Hertfordshire club again tomorrow (Saturday) when they visit Oxford City in the National League South.

Sammy Moore will be looking forward to getting back to playing this weekend for Dover Athletic at Solihul Moors in the National League.

The experienced ace had to watch from the sidelines at Cambridge United in the first round of the FA Cup last Saturday.

Athletic drew 1-1 without Moore, who hasn’t been given permission to play by O’s, and the replay will be live on BT Sports next Thursday (November 17).

It has been an excellent couple of days for Michael Clark, which resulted in him appearing on the Orient bench for the first time.

O’s 18-year-old defended helped East Thurrock hold National League South leaders Maidenhead United to a goalless draw on Saturday.

And on Tuesday he was included among the substitutes for Orient’s EFL Trophy Southern Group G match at Brighton & Hove Albion under-23s.

Even though Clark didn’t make it on the pitch, it was just reward for the teenager after a couple of outstanding months at Rookery Hill.

It is expected Orient will allow the defender to go back to East Thurrock and he could feature for them tomorrow at Whitehawk – looking to extend Rock’s unbeaten record to eight games.

While it is understood Sam Roach has returned to O’s from his loan spell at Essex Senior League outfit Barkingside after not featuring for the Cricklefield club since October 26.
