Sam Roach will hope to help Histon end their five-match winless run in the Southern Football League Division One this weekend when Hanwell Town visit Bridge Road.
Leyton Orient’s under-18 goalkeeper returned for the Stutes on Saturday at Potters Bar Town having missed their goalless draw with Chalfont St Peter on February 21.
Roach was back between the sticks last weekend, but failed to prevent Histon suffering a 2-0 defeat.
The Cambridgeshire club remain in the bottom two and nine points from safety with only nine games left.
Saturday’s opponents Hanwell Town are 10th in the table, so will provide a tough test this weekend.
Charley Barker helped Soham Town Rangers pick up a point in the Ryman North over the last seven days.
Orient’s under-18 captain started again for the Greens at struggling Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday.
Although the hosts led 2-1 heading into additional time, Soham Town equalised to claim a 2-2 draw.
The point boosts their chances of survival and Barker played the whole 90 minutes at Burrroughs Park.
On Tuesday, the Greens travelled to high-flying Brightlingsea Regent and expected a tough evening.
It proved to be the case with the hosts winning 3-1, but Barker again started and completed the game.
Soham Town will aim to bounce back this weekend when Thamesmead Town visit Julius Martin Lane.
With Brentwood Town, who occupy the final relegation positions, just two points behind the Greens, it is vital they get something from Saturday’s match and Barker will be doing his best to ensure they do.
