Leyton Orient midfielder Sammy Moore is determined to finish the League Two campaign with two consecutive victories.

The O’s hoped their season would be extended past May 7 if they qualified for the play-offs, but that is no longer the case.

Last weekend’s 1-0 loss at AFC Wimbledon resulted in them dropping to 14th and they can no longer finish inside the top seven.

Mansfield Town visit Brisbane Road tomorrow before a final day trip to Yeovil Town and the east Londoners are determined to end a poor year with two wins.

“We said in the changing room after Saturday that we have two more games to play and everyone will go out and give their all,” said Moore.

“Hopefully we can get two wins and get ready for next season. We are massively disappointed not to reach the play-offs because I feel the squad is good enough to finish in the top seven.

“I’ve seen our quality day in, day out and everybody is frustrated and angry at the way we’ve failed to get into the play-offs.

“But we have two games now, we go back to Brisbane Road and we need to make sure we get a win and another at Yeovil so we have a kick-start going into next year.”

Many Orient supporters will be hoping to see some of the current youth team or graduates given an opportunity against the Stags.

Sandro Semedo and Scott Kashket were introduced off the bench at Wimbledon on Saturday and could be involved this weekend.

And Moore is certain they’ll take their opportunity, adding: “Not just Sandro and Scott, but all the youth lads have been magnificent all year and they’ve trained with us.

“We have some good kids coming through and that is only a bright thing for Leyton Orient. Obviously it is not my choice whether they get a chance on Saturday, but if they do, I’m sure they won’t disappoint.”
