The O’s will have another full-back unavailable when they make the trip to Wesham
For the fourth consecutive match, Leyton Orient will have to change one of their full-backs with Myles Judd suspended for the National League clash with AFC Fylde this afternoon.
Since the goalless draw with Hartlepool United on October 13, where Joe Widdowson received a red card, Justin Edinburgh has had to make a change to his defence for the games with Maidstone United, Havant & Waterlooville and Eastleigh.
For the FA Cup tie at the Stones, he went with a back five and played Sam Ling and James Brophy as wing-backs.
After the experiment didn’t work, with O’s losing 2-0 at Maidstone, Edinburgh went back to his traditional 4-4-2 formation for the visit of Havant and selected Ling and Judd on the right and left of a back four respectively.
Unfortunately for the former, he suffered a slight knock and so missed the 1-1 draw at Eastleigh on Tuesday and Brophy deputised.
The midweek clash in Hampshire was Joe Widdowson’s last match of his three-game suspension, but the full-back issues for Orient are far from over.
While Widdowson is now available again, and set to start at Fylde today, Judd will not feature for the O’s.
He will sit out the away fixture after collecting his fifth yellow card of the campaign on Tuesday night and so must serve a one-game ban.
Ling should be fit to face the Coasters, however, so will likely slot back into his best position of right-back and look to cement his spot after a couple of months out of the first-team.
Elsewhere, Edinburgh does not have any other worries with the rest of the squad fit and raring to go for the clash with fifth-placed Fylde.
Orient secured a 1-0 triumph at Mill Farm earlier this year in February and a repeat result would be welcomed.
