Archant

Young defender Marvin Ekpiteta could make his O’s debut today after he was recalled from his loan at East Thurrock United this week

Leyton Orient could include defender Marvin Ekpiteta on the bench for the first time this afternoon at Dover Athletic.

As things stand, the Whites are confident the National League game will go ahead, despite the effects of the beast from the east and Storm Emma.

If it does, it will be the only game in the division to survive the bad weather and the O’s will be hoping to secure another positive result.

Ekpiteta can expect to be part of the matchday squad after he was recalled from his loan at East Thurrock United this week.

The young former Concord Rangers centre back signed for Orient on January 31, but returned to his old club on loan until the end of the season.

With Jamie Sendles-White departing O’s by mutual consent this week and George Elokobi still struggling with a hamstring injury, Ekpiteta could be on the bench at the Crabble Athletic Ground today.

Justin Edinburgh is also waiting on the fitness of Jobi McAnuff, who hasn’t played for Orient since suffering a nerve problem at Dover in the FA Trophy on February 3.

O’s will definitely have Ebou Adams available though, despite him suffering a slight nerve problem last Saturday.
