Captain Mathieu Baudry may miss out through injury as league leaders look to continue run
Leyton Orient head coach Ian Hendon is likely to keep new loan signing Jack Payne on the bench today at Exeter City.
The 23-year-old joined the O’s on a season-long loan earlier this week and wasn’t registered in time for the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy clash with Luton Town.
Even though the Brisbane Road club have been chasing the Peterborough midfielder’s signature all summer, the midfield four of Lloyd James, Sammy Moore, Bradley Pritchard and Dean Cox are expected to remain the same at St James Park.
Illness was in the Orient camp after the JPT defeat to Luton, but that has cleared now and the only concern for boss Hendon is captain Mathieu Baudry.
He was forced off at half time against Bristol Rovers last weekend and missed the midweek loss at Kenilworth Road.
The Frenchman will hope to be fit for the clash with Exeter, but if he is unavailable Alan Dunne is expected to take his place.
Young goalkeeper Charlie Grainger will deputise for first choice Alex Cisak, currently away on international duty, at St James Park and in the process make his league debut as Orient go in search of a sixth successive victory.
