French midfielder may miss clash at Brisbane Road due to hamstring problem
Leyton Orient caretaker Andy Hessenthaler isn’t likely to make many changes for the visit of Plymouth Argyle this evening.
Nigel Atangana was forced off in the 82nd minute during Saturday’s 3-2 win over Dagenham & Redbridge with a hamstring problem.
The French midfielder will be monitored before a decision over where he starts tonight is made, but he could miss out.
Jobi McAnuff definitely won’t be involved as he’s unavailable due to a calf injury while Sammy Moore is only slowly working his way back to full fitness following a virus.
Armand Gnanduillet scored the winner at the weekend and that should be enough to see him keep his starting position ahead of Ollie Palmer.
If Atangana is ruled out, Peterborough United loanee Jack Payne could line up alongside Lloyd James in midfield.
Even though captain Mathieu Baudry suffered a cut to his head on Saturday, he will lead Orient out this evening.
It is a crucial match with both O’s and Argyle looking to earn promotion from League Two this season.
The visitors still have an opportunity of going up automatically so they’ll be keen to take all three points at Brisbane Road.
But after getting a first win in four at the weekend, the east Londoners will aim to register back-to-back victories tonight.
Unfortunately both Dean Cox and Paul McCallum will only be watching from the sidelines as they continue their recovery from knee ligament injuries.
Youngsters Josh Koroma and Scott Kashket are again expected to be among the substitute’s.
