The O's head coach could switch things up for the trip to the Gallagher Stadium

Leyton Orient head coach Justin Edinburgh will have to decide whether he sticks to his guns or makes changes for tonight’s National League match away to Maidstone United.

The O’s have three points after their first three fixtures following draws with Salford City, Ebbsfleet United and Barrow.

Dean Brill, Sam Ling, Josh Coulson, Joe Widdowson, Jobi McAnuff, Craig Clay, James Alabi and Macauley Bonne have started each match so far.

Edinburgh has been forced to make a change at centre back with George Elokobi suffering a hamstring injury in the early stages of the draw with Fleet.

It saw Marvin Ekpiteta come on in his place and he retained his berth in the starting XI for the match with Barrow, which ended 2-2.

Further up the pitch, Orient’s head coach has mixed things up in the centre of midfield and out wide and he could do the same again this evening.

Charlie Lee and Clay failed to dominate against Barrow and Alex Lawless could earn a recall at the Gallagher Stadium as a result.

Although Josh Koroma impressed off the bench on Saturday, he may have to be content with a place among the substitutes if James Brophy is fit to start.

Meanwhile, having gone three games without a goal, Alabi will be hoping to find the net against Maidstone later.

A slight consolation for him is the fact it took Bonne a short amount of time to open his account for O’s last season.

The former Colchester United forward didn’t score a competitive goal for Orient until August 15 2017 – his fourth game for the club.

It unfortunately arrived in a 6-1 thrashing at Bromley, but Bonne went on to net 22 times in the National League last season and Alabi will hope to follow suit once he does get off the mark.
