New head coach will be without two players due to suspension, but Macauley Bonne will return
Leyton Orient will look to halt a run of 14 National League games without a win this afternoon when they take on bottom of the table Solihull Moors.
The match at Damson Park will see Justin Edinburgh take charge of the O’s for the first time since his appointment on Wednesday.
Edinburgh, who last managed in the division with Newport County in 2013, will be desperate for Orient to start on a positive, especially after last weekend’s 3-0 loss away to fellow strugglers Torquay United.
O’s new head coach will be without the services of Jake Caprice and Jamie Sendles-White today due to suspension.
The right-back starts his three-match ban while ex-Swindon Town centre back Sendles-White begins his two-game suspension for misconduct.
Myles Judd is likely to replace Jake Caprice while Mark Ellis will not be part of the squad after returning to Carlisle United this week.
One of Michael Clark or Aron Pollock could therefore be on the bench with Bondz N’Gala and Dan Happe set to start in the heart of Orient.
A big boost for Edinburgh will be the return of Macauley Bonne, who was absent last Saturday after serving a one-match ban for five cautions.
O’s top goalscorer this term, with 10 goals in all competitions, will almost certainly come back into the team at Solihull.
At the other end of the pitch, the new head coach will have to decide whether Charlie Grainger or Sam Sargeant starts in goal.
Grainger had to be replaced at Torquay after he suffered a shoulder injury, but he was able to return to training on Thursday.
Following such a disappointing outing in Devon, Orient will be out to show their fans what they can do at Solihull and also impress their new boss.
