Summer League honours for Tower Hamlets team

Tower Hamlets club Soul Youth FC marched to the BFA Summer League Premier Division title after finishing unbeaten.

Promoted to the top flight last season, they won eight matches and drew the other one, as Donald Bushi topped the scoring charts.

Sporting Bengal United duo Kadir Jama and Ashaan Saddik also impressed, along with Mohammed Bettamer, and manager Shipon Miah said: “It’s been a dream season for us and our achievements will remain long in the memory for many years.

“What is extra special is the way my team not only kept up the momentum after winning promotion, but bridged the gap in terms of quality after stepping up a league.

“With two of our players playing higher level football this is testament to the quality we have shown throughout.”
