A round-up of the latest action involving the Goodmayes club

Thomas McCurtains’ women’s footballers ended their first season in the Senior competition in fine style by winning the Oxford University/Club Development 7s.

The tournament was jointly-organised by the London and Hertfordshire County Boards, with the Goodmayes club turning in a string of impressive displays to see off the challenge of their rivals.

Elsewhere, the men’s footballers were held to a 1-9 to 1-9 draw by Dulwich Harps in their opening Division Three play-off pool match.

McCurtains were on top for much of the match and a well-taken goal from Mark McGirr looked to have sealed victory, only for Harps to level through the final kick of the game with a goal of their own.

The Goodmayes club are back in play-off action again this week as they welcome Tara on Saturday.
