Get fit and active for free at Lee Valley Park

Looking for ways to stay active or get fit? Lee Valley Park is hosting a handful of free events in the coming month.
Free mountain bike and road circuit sessions are being given away by Lee Valley VeloPark to mark National Bike Week.
People are welcome to visit the London 2012 Olympic venue in Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and use its one mile road circuit and mountain bike trails for free on June, 10, 12 and 17.
Cyclists can bring their own bikes or hire one at the venue and there’s no need to book in advance.
If you’d prefer a more leisurely bike ride, you can enjoy a On Yer Bike guided ride on Sunday, June 18.
The ride starts and Old Mill and Meadows Car Park in Broxbourne and takes in the breath-taking scenery of Lee Valley, the River Lea and Hertfordshire with a picnic or pub lunch along the way from 10am.
More of runner then why not try your speed and take part in the Four Fest 400 metre run at Lee Valley Athletics Centre on Wednesday, June 28 from 7pm.
Neither a cyclist or runner and just fancy some fun, you can enjoy a day of canoeing, obstacle courses and white water rafting at the Summer Splash day on Sunday, July 2 from 11am to 5pm.
If you’re more of a spectator you could cheer on your country at the Men’s World League Semi-Finals at the Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre.
England will be joined by some of the best teams in the world, including current Olympic and European champions Argentina, and world number six side India, who will be battling it out for the top spot.
There will also be a fun zone for the kids to try out their hockey skills and the chance to meet Olympians, plus half time entertainment from Thursday, June 15 to Sunday, June 25.
Hockey matches will cost £5 to £35.
