Lee Valley Ice Centre is set to host its fifth annual Lee Valley Synchronised Skating Championships this week.
The competition will be welcoming teams from across the UK to compete in a variety of categories and showcase their latest routines ahead of the British Championships which take place in January on Monday afternoon.
Skaters aged between seven and 70 will take to the venue’s recently refurbished ice rink to compete in 14 ISU and UK classifications, which include basic novice, junior, senior, mixed age and adult, whilst being judged by a panel of technical experts.
Five of Lee Valley’s own synchro teams including Aura, Orion, Stardust, Supernova and Phoenix will take part in the event and are hoping to secure medals for their efforts.
They will come up against the likes of teams from Altrincham Silver Blades, Bradford, Planet Ice Basingstoke, Planet Ice Gosport, Nottingham Ice Arena and Ice Sheffield.
