Tower Hamlets player-coach Ajay Ashnike isn’t putting any pressure on his team to win matches in the Essex Senior League despite them battling to avoid relegation.
The Mile End Stadium club are 16th in the table ahead of Saturday’s clash with London Bari at the Old Spotted Dog.
But rather than target a certain amount of points or wins from their remaining seven league matches, they are staying calm.

“If we go into every game trying to pick up a point survival will be easy for us,” said Ashnike.

“As long as we keep picking up points here and there we will be safe.”
Ashnike will hope his team continue their encouraging run on Saturday and knows what to expect from Bari.

The Forest Gate club beat Tower Hamlets back in November and the player-coach has been working his side hard in training.
“They are more improved compared to last season,” added Ashnike. “They beat us 1-0 earlier in the season.
“They have really quick players so we have been working on that in training and making sure the boys can defend against that and if we can do that I am sure we can get a positive result from the game.”
Ashnike also revealed Tower Hamlets two-goal hero against Barking, Ashaan Siddik, will get more opportunities now.
The youngster scored a brace against the Mayesbrook Park outfit last Wednesday to inspire a 3-0 success and is now going to get regular chances.
“Ashaan is a good young lad. We are looking to put him more into the first team now,” admitted Ashnike.
“He is 19-years-old and that was only his third appearance for us against Barking, but he did really well.
“That time we put Ashaan in and he delivered so he does need to be starting games all the time now.”
