Bancroft United manager Junior Brown is confident his side can gain revenge for an early-season defeat by Premier Division rivals Old King John's Head in this weekend's Hackney Gazette Cup final.
The Bethnal Green side were beaten 3-0 by Haggerston outfit Old King John's in September - the only meeting between the two sides in the current campaign.
But manager Brown is convinced that Bancroft can turn the tables in Sunday's final and end the club's four-year wait for a major trophy.
He said: "We are a lot stronger now than at the start of the season. It's fair to say we are quietly confident we can surprise them."

Bancroft warmed up for the final with a 1-1 draw against Black Meteors last weekend. In-form striker Justin Weatherman (pictured) was on the mark for the Bethnal Green side, but Dave Matthew struck for Meteors to snatch a share of the spoils.
Old King Johns Head recorded a 3-2 win over Three Compasses, secured through goals from Mark Lee, Paul Doyle and Anthony White.

Premier Division leaders Lapton completed the first two legs of a possible treble within two days last weekend.
The Dalston side made short work of Division One runners-up Real Romania in Friday night's Albert Daniels Senior Cup final, securing a 5-0 victory courtesy of a Maurice Byfield hat-trick and additional strikes from Dean Robinson and man-of-the-match Daniel Stephenson.
Byfield and Stephenson both netted trebles in the club's 7-1 victory over Albion Manor on Sunday, which guaranteed a third successive league title. Ibby Ranks hit the other goal for Lapton, who will clinch a treble if they overcome Real Romania in the Dickie Davies Cup final tomorrow night.
Clapton Rangers, winners of the London Sunday Intermediate Cup this season, made it a cup double on Sunday, landing the league's Jack Walpole Cup with a 3-1 success over Eureka.
