Abayomi delighted with FA Cup success

Tower Hamlets boss Ade Abayomi paid tribute to his young side following their FA Cup at Wivenhoe.
Omar Rowe’s nine-minute hat-trick led the way in a 5-1 success in the extra preliminary round tie, with Yusuf Ali and Inesh Sumitharan on target in the second half to earn £1,500 prize money and a trip to Cockfosters.
Abayomi said: “I’m delighted. Praise goes to the young ones again, they played really well.
“The way we’ve always wanted to play is the right way in playing the game. We had so many chances and we took them, so I’m very proud of them and we look forward to the next round.

“That’s the way we’ve always tried to coach them to play the game, we had a very young squad out there but it’s my aim and ambition of the club as well to keep playing the game the right way.”
The visitors looked comfortable in possession throughout, all across the pitch, and got their just rewards.

Rowe broke the deadlock on 28 minutes and added a stunning second almost immediately, before adding a third before half time before being replaced at the interval.
Abayomi added: “Omar is quality. Everyone that has seen him this season knows he has quality.
“We know we’re not going to be able to keep him for too long, but while he’s here, long may it continue.
“If you score a hat-trick in that short time period, you deserve to be man of the match. It will have to go to Omar.”
Danio Brown, O’Neal Rowe and Ali also caught the eye in a superb team display that bodes well for the Essex Senior League this season.
But Abayomi knows lots of tough tests await his talented side, adding: “We got the result from it. Some days we’re going to play football and not win the games, but today was the perfect example of playing good football, the supporters appreciate it, we appreciated it and many more may come.
“They (Wivenhoe) were very aggressive in the earlier parts of the game, which is what we expected, but it’s all about the way you keep the ball. If you keep the ball more than the opponent, they can’t hurt you.
“In the early part of the game they were aggressive, they’ve got all the energy, but the longer we kept the ball, the more they became exposed.
“The boys really played well and all praise goes to them.”
