Sporting Bengal United returned to action after having four weeks off and picked up a 2-1 victory against Ilford.
A brace from Eaia Embalo sealed the three points and help push Bengal up the table and further away from the relegation zone at Cricklefield Stadium.
Imrul Gazi’s men are now five points off the bottom four and will be hoping to carry that momentum into their next match as they look to avoid relegation from the Essex Senior League.
Manager Imrul Gazi tweeted after the match: “Massive win for my lads today away to @Ilfordfcfoxes - Especially since we have had no action for four weeks. “Was brilliant to see the commitment to the team from every player.
“Thanks to @TheChefsDeli2 & @AllanFenn for their hospitality - all the best for the season gents.”
Ilford will be hoping to get back to winning ways in their next match as they now find themselves eighth in the table.
