Mile End Stadium club haven’t claimed victory since October 12, though have defender Mark Wheeler available after injury now
Sporting Bengal United visit fellow strugglers Haringey & Waltham tonight and boss Imrul Gazi is determined to pick up all three points.
The east Londoners put in a spirited display at Stansted on Saturday, but fell to a 2-0 defeat in the Essex Senior League.
Bengal have not won since a 3-1 success at home to Clapton on October 12, though hope that changes at the Terence McMillan Stadium this evening.
“We are set play Haringey & Waltham twice over the next four games and I’ve set us a target of four points from our two fixtures with them,” said Gazi.

“That is what I’d like as the worse possible case, though the issue for us right now is not taking our chances.
“We are creating plenty of opportunities, yet just lacking the quality required when in the final third so I’m working on that.”

Gazi admits the first clash between Bengal and Haringey is massive with just three points separating the clubs.
Waltham are 20th in the standings with 12 points from 24 games, though they did beat Southend Manor 1-0 on November 15.
The Mile End Stadium outfit meanwhile, are bottom with just nine points from 17 league fixtures.
“It is potentially a massive game for both clubs and we have Mark Wheeler back after injury,” said Gazi.
“He hasn’t played since coming off at Takeley (October 25) when we were two goals ahead and lost 3-2.
“I’m lacking experience in defence because I only have a handful of people that have played there at this level.
“Without them I’m left to put in novices unfortunately, but we have some more options now.”
After visiting the Terence McMillan Stadium tonight, Bengal will entertain Southend Manor on Saturday at Mile End.
Manor, despite losing to Haringey earlier this month, have won five of their last six games in the division to move up to third in the table.
Gazi added: “For tonight and Saturday we will be stronger than we have been for the last eight games so I’m quietly positive we can get some points on the board.
“We have Southend Manor at the weekend and they are flying in the league right now, but I hope we can give a good account against them and put in a good performance.”
