Mile End Stadium club scored four times in the second half with O’Neal Rowe hitting a hat-trick at the Old Spotted Dog

Ade Abayomi was delighted his Tower Hamlets players made him feel a lot better last night at London Bari in the Essex Senior League.

O’Neal Rowe scored a second half hat-trick after Ali Ibrahim and Kamon Asidio had put the Mile End Stadium club two goals ahead at their local rivals.

It would prove to a fantastic evening at the Old Spotted Dog for Hamlets as they earned a third win of the campaign.

Abayomi said: “It was a very good performance and the boys played really great, I was delighted.

“I haven’t been feeling too well because I’ve had a bit of flu so I didn’t say that much to them.

“The way they played was brilliant and it was such a professional display from start to finish last night.”

Rowe was the star of the show after scoring a hat-trick to take his tally for the season to five in all competitions.

Hamlets manager was full of praise for the talented youngster and revealed exactly what he needs to improve on.

“O’Neal had a good game. He started out on the wing and we moved him to striker when we made a substitution,” said Abayomi.

“He can play in so many different positions and is a very talent boy, but his attitude lets him down.

“I think he has the potential to go far and it is very rare at this level to find somebody that can play anywhere and do well.

“He is comfortable at right-back, centre-back or on the wing. You can play him up front and he does great.

“O’Neal knows what he needs to work on and that’s his attitude, but he has scored quite a few goals for us now this season and is playing well.”

While Hamlets won 5-0 in the end last night, it was goalless heading into break at Forest Gate.

Ibrahim opened the scoring in first half stoppage time, though, and it was one-way traffic afterwards.

Abatomi added: “It was a bit tight in the beginning where both teams were weighing up each other.

“I thought it was a deserved goal for us just before half time because we had slightly dominated.

“But after the break it was one-way traffic and I had to pinch myself watching some of the football we were playing.”

Hamlets are now unbeaten in two league games, which is their longest run of the season.
