West Ham boss Gianfranco Zola refused to be drawn on whether players will be brought to the club in January and was adamant the current group are good enough to beat the drop.

The Hammers are currently just inside the relegation zone after Sunday's 2-1 home defeat to Everton, but the Italian boss refuses to be too downbeat on his side's situation.

"Worried no, because I think we can certainly improve the situation. I'm disappointed because they deserved something more than that, but it is too early. I am concerned obviously, as is everyone around West Ham, but we are going to fight till the end," he said.

"The Hull game is a big one. They have just won so they are going to have a lot of confidence. We know it is going to be a tough match, but we are prepared for that.

"Yes, we can (stay up). We are going to have to, all of us, including myself, to look for solutions for solving these problems. A team that plays as well as us has to get more points, so there are a lot of things to work on. We want to find the solutions and find them as quick as possible."

And that according to Zola does not automatically mean bringing new players to the club.

"It is too early, and I don't like to think about the transfer window," he said.

"I want to focus on what we have to do and work with these players. For me there is no point in even talking about it.
