Tower Hamlets WFC picked up their first points of the season as Hannah Dalgleish scored twice to inspire a brave comeback at Millwall Park on Sunday.

Dalgliesh struck either side of half-time to rescue a point and prevent a second straight defeat at the club's new home ground after Manford Way had surged into a two-goal lead.

Despite enjoying a successful pre-season, a series of injuries had seen the Cows slip to back-to-back losses in their opening two matches of the London & South East Division One season.

Those injury concerns increased in the first 15 minutes on Sunday as captain Lucy Mills was forced off with a thigh injury and Manford Way took advantage by breaking the deadlock with a 30-yard free-kick that looped into the net.

Yet the goal sparked a reaction from the home side and the dangerous Dalgleish gave her side a lifeline, latching on to a through-ball from Sabrina Samuel and firing home minutes before the break.
