George Sessions provides player ratings following the 1-1 draw with Mansfield Town
Leyton Orient drew their fourth consecutive match in a row on Saturday away to Mansfield Town in League Two.
Jay Simpson scored his 16th goal of the campaign after just 12 minutes to put Ian Hendon’s men ahead.
But a lack of concentration resulted in the Stags getting back on level terms just before the break and that was how it finished.
Conditions were pretty shocking and in the end, a draw was without doubt a fair result at Field Mill.
Alex Cisak (7) – The Aussie didn’t really have much to do all game. He was unsighted for the goal, but his kicking was good and he claimed a few crosses well.
Sean Clohessy (6.5) – Lost Reggie Lambe for the equaliser, but steady other than that. Again he didn’t get forward as much as normal.
Mathieu Baudry (8) – Excellent performance from the skipper who appeared to win everything in the air and pass the ball with great authority in the first half.
Jean-Yves M’voto (7.5) – Another strong display by the Frenchmen, but did appear unsettled on a couple of times by the Mansfield forwards. First time we have seen that since he arrived last month.
Cole Kpekawa (7) – QPR man did a decent job at left-back, no nonsense with the ball in his own half and delivered a lovely cross during first half.
Blair Turgott (6) – Frustrating afternoon for the winger, who didn’t get much joy from his opposite number at Field Mill.
Jack Payne (7) – Battling display by the midfielder, but he tried to get Orient ticking over and helped control centre in the first half.
Lloyd James (7) – Like Payne did the dirty stuff, but also tried to get the O’s playing. He also won his fair share in the air.
Jobi McAnuff (7.5) – Excellent first half display, looked a constant threat and picked up assist, but faded after the break.
John Marquis (7) – Worked hard throughout and won quite a few headers. Did well for Simpson’s goal in the end and deserves more chances up front.
Jay Simpson (7) – Lovely header for his 16th of the campaign and worked tirelessly before being taken off at the end.
Substitutes:
Ollie Palmer, for Turgott 64. (6) – Lots of effort as usual from the former Mansfield man, but not much in terms of an attacking threat.
Bradley Pritchard, for Marquis 78.
Scott Kashket, for Simpson 78.
