Hackney Marshes plays host to football event
Local teams battled it out for supremacy at the Inner London Football League’s Legends Cup on the world famous Hackney Marshes.
Over 25 squads took part, with Beaumont FC coming out on top at the end of a hard day of competition.
The ILFL was established in 2001 and is one of numerous leagues to play on the 80 pitches in the shadow of London’s Olympic Park.
A spokesman said: “As football’s squillionaires get ready to strut their stuff in Brazil, it’s great to see there are still real football heroes out there playing the beautiful game for nothing but love!”
