London Tigers ensured a silver lining to their Inner London Football League season by beating old foes Stepney in the cup final.
An entertaining tie finished all square at 2-2, before Tigers held their nerve to win a penalty shoot-out 3-2, with Azmal Hussain making two outstanding saves.
An exhibition match was held before the final, between the recent ILFL World Cup winners Team Bangladesh and Team Rohingya, which the former won by a 7-1 margin.
League vice-chairman Rashid Ali said: “We have just had a memorable season with some outstanding football throughout.
“These two games have really proven to be the icing on the cake. This is the power of football. Well done everybody.”
