Meath United remain on course for a repeat Premier Division triumph after the reigning champions avenged a humiliating defeat by Hackney Downs on Sunday.
Meath were on the receiving end of a double-digit blitz in December when a makeshift side with no recognised goalkeeper was humbled in a 10-2 rout by the Hackney outfit.
But Meath were at full strength for this meeting and took an early lead when Tommy Roast fired them in front in 25 minutes.
Hackney briefly threatened to deliver another blow to Meath's title hopes when they levelled within seconds of the restart, but Danny Bradshaw struck six minutes from time to keep his side's challenge on track.
