Fourth Division side Ravenscroft came close to pulling off a huge shock in the Dickie Davies Cup First Round last Sunday.

They were narrowly beaten 4-2 by First Division outfit Mile End as Chris Salisbury and an own goal kept Ravenscroft in the match.

Sadly for them Mile End proved too strong in the end as doubles from James Morris and Andrew Jules were enough to seal their progression to the next round.

Premier Division side MSW defeated Lancresse Rangers thanks to a hat-trick from Phillip Slade and a Charlie Cork strike. Jermaine Hawkins scored both of Rangers' goals.

Midfield beat Young Prince 6-0, with doubles from Luke Trimm and Chris Byrne doing the damage, while Don Shelts and Gilbert Cyrille also added their names to the score sheet.

Alan Eames hit the winner for Metwin as they edged out Delta 2-1. James Smith scored Metwin's first while Bradley Mills netted for Delta.
