With Shadwell and CAG being notable absences in the penultimate week of games, the Sonali Othith Masters Tournament fizzled out with Poplar Legends lifting the trophy.

Poplar were given a guard of honour during the trophy and medals presentation from everyone present at Mulberry Leisure Centre.

Captain Dilawar Miah said: “It’s been a tremendous experience from start to finish and we were touched by the gesture of the guard of honour.

“What’s more important is the unity on display. The competitive nature of the games has been second to none, but we will treasure the banter, respect and the goodwill of everyone who has made this tournament such a success. We are determined to defend our crown next time round.”
