East Londoners have three pre-season games lined up before league campaign begins on July 30

Sporting Bengal United will be holding open trials this Saturday at Stepney Green 3G as plans get underway for the new Essex Senior League campaign.

New manager Imrul Gazi is putting plans in place for the upcoming season and the east London club revealed their summer schedule late last week.

Following the open trials and selection sessions on Saturday between 2-4pm, Bengal will have training on July 2 and July 9 on the Stepney Green grass.

They will also hold training on July 12 on the 3G surface and July 16 on grass before playing their first friendly on Tuesday July 19.

Gazi’s men will face AC London on the 3G pitch at Stepney Green with kick-off starting at 7.45pm.

After playing the Combined Counties Division One outfit, they’ll face an Essex Olympian side on Saturday July 23.

Bengal will take on FC Hamlets at Hackney Marshes before one more friendly with Spartan South Division One team Brimsdown United on July 26.

The Essex Senior League campaign is set to start on July 30 before the extra preliminary round of the FA Cup commences on August 6 for the east London club.

Gazi also discovered recently that his side would travel to Barking in the first round of the League Cup before potentially hosting Burnham Ramblers in the next phase of the competition.

The Mile End Stadium club have received a bye for round one of the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy, but will travel to Barking or Clapton in the second round.
