Tower Hamlets manager AJ Ashanike is already looking to make amends for Saturday’s defeat.

Hamlets lost 1-3 against Barkingside in the Essex Senior League to make it three league games without a win.

They lost to Great Wakering Rovers and drew to Sawbridgeworth Town in their two previous outings.

Ashanike said: “When you haven’t won in three games it puts a little downer in the team.

“We lost to Barkingside who are not as good as Great Wakering or the teams that beat us in the last three games.”

Hamlets will now be making the trip to Cricklefield Stadium on Saturday (3pm) as they look to get their season back on track.

“We are coming from the back of a massive defeat against Barkingside, we’re playing Ilford who we’ve already lost to this season.

“Saturday is a must win game for us.

“Hopefully I’ll have my strongest side there.”

Ashanike admits his side will back to the basics and hope that will stand them in good sted for the upcoming clash with the Foxes.

“We’ve got to go back to basics on Saturday.

“We’re changing formation every week trying to see options and I thinks that’s cost us so we just need to stick to our game plan and were going to go back to basics.”
