Tower Hamlets cruised to a sixth win in a row as they thrashed Woodford Town 2017 6-1 in their Essex Senior League clash.

A brace from Wale Odedoyin and goals from O’Neal Rowe, Luke With, Hasan Mustafa and Igor Furtado sealed the in-form side three points and pushed them up to fourth in the table at Coggs Lane last night.

“It was a fantastic performance, the boys played really well and were up for the game from the beginning,” Abayomi said.

“It was a very enjoyable and comfortable win for us.”

Abayomi believes his side must stay grounded as they will have tougher tests in the coming weeks.

“There will be bigger tests coming soon, but right now we’re going in the right direction, so we’re very pleased,” he said.

“It’s early days and there is a long way to go until the end of the season, but what we’re doing so far is working.”

The manager is also pleased with his squad and the options he has amongst it even when players are missing injury or suspension.

“We had four players missing and had to bring in a few players, who haven’t played many minutes this season, but they came in and were hungry to do well and they did.

“They did a good job and from a manager’s point of view it’s a good place to be in, knowing that everyone wants to play and can step up when needed.”
