Uddin disappointed with Bengal’s points tally

Mile End Stadium club make long trip to Hullbridge Sports later this evening
Sporting Bengal United have another long trip to do in the Essex Senior League tonight and boss Anwar Uddin is looking for his team to improve on their points tally.
He only took over in the summer, but has helped the Mile End Stadium club achieve great things this season.
They enjoyed a lot of success in the FA Vase and are only four off beating their record points tally recorded in the division.
Bengal could move closer to that this evening when they visit Hullbridge Sports, but Uddin admits he believes they should have set the record already.

He said: “I’m disappointed we haven’t gone past 44 at the moment to be honest, it was the target at the start of the season. We only needed to turn two of our draws into wins to have reached it already.
“Our points tally does leave me very frustrated because our performances and the players we have doesn’t reflect what we have next to our name in the table.”

The east Londoners have had to contend with various midweek journeys this season and it normally means Uddin hasn’t got his best squad available to him.
But even when that has been the case, the former Dagenham & Redbridge captain has been impressed with those that have come in.
He backed his players to step up to the plate again tonight at Lower Road against a Sports team that haven’t lost since a 2-1 defeat to Newham on February 17.
Uddin added: “Whenever we play, we have a way of playing so they all know exactly what is asked of them and we are always organised.
“It doesn’t matter who is picked to play, they can come in and do a job and some of the youngsters have really surprised me.
“We have gone to places like Stansted and Southend Manor in midweek with really depleted squads and got points or impressed in the cup so anything is possible.”
Bengal will hope to get closer to their record points tally tonight and stop Hullbridge’s recent encouraging form.
