Valon Behrami's agent has said the player is 'honoured' to be linked with Roma, but denied a deal has been done with the Italian club.

The 25-year-old had a mixed campaign for West Ham last season and has been widely tipped with a return to Italy, with Palermo having shown interest in the past.

Now Behrami's agent, Alessandro Beltrami, has linked the Swiss international with Roma and admitted there has been a lot of interest in the midfielder, but says that all interested parties must go through the club.

"West Ham considers Behrami a major player," he told Sky Italia . "The situation is therefore a little difficult.

"Some clubs asked me about the player but at the moment there is nothing concrete.

"The player is linked to West Ham and if a club is interested they should talk to them."

He said: "Valon is glad of the interest of Roma. He is honoured to be in the aims of such a prestigious club."

One player who is also likely to leave Upton Park is Radoslav Kovac.

The former Spartak Moscow midfielder had a disappointing campaign in east London last season and is reportedly in the Potteries discussing terms with Stoke City over a 2million deal.

Kovac joined the club at the start of last season for 1.8m.
