Maikel De Quadros, manager of the Bethnal Green-based club, hailed the potential of his team

Maikel De Quadros hailed the effort of his Warriors Futsal Club team after they clinched the London Futsal League title recently.

The Bethnal Green-based outfit finished top of the standings after 18 matches with 15 wins to their name.

Warriors concluded the league campaign with a 12-10 victory over Haringey Futsal and saw player Justino Freza finish as top goalscorer of the division with 36 goals.

De Quadros said: “Overall this was a really challenging competition and one of the toughest we have played in so far.

“We suffered defeats to teams who have shown great potential, but yet again we showed why our club name is Warriors.

“During unfavourable circumstances, where we lost key players, we managed to stay strong and stand together and due to this we bounced back.

“We would like to thank the organiser of the competition and also all the teams we played against and wish them all good luck in the future.

“Finally a big thank you to the players and coaches who supported us throughout. Yet again we see a fire in each of our players.

“They know the potential they have and the potential the team has and we believe with more training we can be alongside the best futsal clubs in England.”

De Quadros concluded: “The club is always looking for sponsors and partners to help facilitate the grown of futsal in the community further. If you or your company are interested in sponsoring the club, please contact us by clicking here.”
