West Ham goalkeeper Robert Green says he loves life at Upton Park but admits his future is out of his hands.

The England international has had a solid season between the sticks for the east London outfit and is widely regarded as national coach Fabio Capello's number one for this summer's World Cup.

However, Hammers co-owner David Sullivan said after Saturday's victory against Wigan that the whole squad, bar Scott Parker would be up for sale, leaving Green unsure of his future.

"That's completely out of my control, I love it here, if they say they want me here then they want me here," he said.

"The two chairman have got their ideas on where they want to take the club forward.

"I think the manager has been hamstrung by the precarious financial position of recent months and we are now in a position where relatively, we are a lot stronger than we have been. It's down to them."

And with the Hammers Premier League status secured after the 3-2 win over Wigan, they can start to plan for next season, although Green knows that it should not have taken until the final month of the season for that to happen.

"Everyone is pleased, but we have to wonder why we are in this position in the first place. We had a few bad results which left us in a pretty dire position," he said.

"We've turned things around. We'd take two wins, a draw and a loss over the last four games. It's a marked improvement considering the other defeats.

"We've conceded four goals in two games from set pieces, which isn't good enough, we've not played stunning football, but we got results.

"We've created chances and when Scott Parker comes up with a wonder goal like that (to win the match), it makes a difference.

"You look at the Sunderland game which again was not a pretty game to watch, but it is about results, not performances.
