London Docklands returned to the volleyball court for the first time in almost a month and beat bottom of the table side Cambridge 3-0 in a dominant display.

Docklands welcomed back setter Andy Vincett after nearly four years in New York and he went straight back into Legrand's starting six.

Vincett (pictured right) was making his 202nd appearance as he closes in on Ned Groy's all time record of 208 matches.

He had a solid match, linking well with his players, particularly middle hitters Boris Halatchev and Martin Blake.

After a slow start Docklands started to dominate their hosts as blocks by Blake and George Uzunov took them 15-8 up.

All Docklands' attackers were producing winners whilst an ace by Halatchev sealed a 25-15 first set win for the East End club.

Docklands' top performer, Mohammed Sliti was having another impressive match and he started the second set with an ace.

He also enjoyed significant success at the net and was awarded Docklands' man of the match award after another superb display.

It was a close run thing with Halatchev who produced two consecutive blocks to help Docklands open up a four point lead at 10-6.

Another service run by Halatchev piled the pressure on Cambridge as they had no answer to Docklands' attack and block defence.

A block by Vincett saw Docklands reach 18-10 and were totally in control, but a slight loss of concentration by Docklands gave Cambridge some hope but kills by Sliti and Alexis Blair restored Docklands' advantage and a smash by Wayne Davies closed out the set 25-17.

When a block by Halatchev took Docklands 13-7 up it looked as though Docklands would stroll to an easy third set win.

However, a combination of lacklustre Docklands play and Cambridge service pressure saw the home side level the scores at 15-15.

Two quick points by Sliti and Halatchev followed by a Cambridge error undid all their good work as Docklands awoke from their brief slumber. A service run by Halatchev under-pinned Docklands' dominance and a kill by Blair finished off the set 25-19.

Next week sees Docklands take on old rivals Malory in a top of the table clash.

Docklands have not beaten Malory since the 2007 cup final and Legrand will be keen to right that statistic at Bacon's College next Saturday.
