Grinell joins younger brother

London Raiders have announced the signing of Evander Grinell from capital rivals Streatham Redskins.

Grinell played in the junior system at Romford and graduated to the Raiders in the 2009/10 English Premier League season.

He also played for Slough, Guildford and Haringey, before spending the last four seasons with Streatham and was named man of the match for the Redskins on an earlier visit to Lee Valley this term.

The 6tf 3in forward will line-up alongside younger brother Rio and is set to be in the line-up for this weekend’s meetings with Invicta and Chelmsford.

Coach Alan Blyth said: “Evander will help out more, especially on our penalty kill, and being another old Romford player he knows what to expect.”
