Magnificent Mondal claims 12 golds for Bethnal Green Sharks
Youngster stars at Barking & Dagenham Aquatics Meet
Two girls from the Bethnal Green Sharks Swimming Club excelled at the Barking & Dagenham Aquatics Meet at Becontree Heath Leisure Centre last weekend.
Rusha Mondal won a trophy for the Top 12-year-old Female Swimmer as well as picking up the Top Overall Female Swimmer prize as she won 12 golds, three silvers and a bronze.
Mondal swam to victory in the frontcrawl 200m, 100m and 50m, as well as the individual medley at 400m, 200m, and 100m.
The 12-year-old also won the 200m, 100m, and 50m butterfly races as well as the 200m, 100m, and 50m breaststroke.

Elsewhere at the meet, nine-year-old Kaia Cudmore, who has only just returned from a broken arm, won three golds in the butterfly 200m and 50m and the backstroke 50m.
