St Mary’s Lane club eased to a 66-13 success on the road on Saturday

Pat Reed was content with a comfortable victory for Old Cooperians as they ran out 66-13 at Millwall in London Three Essex.

The St Mary’s Lane club earned a second straight win in the league, thanks in part to a Harry Fayers hat-trick.

Joe Bilton, Tom Scott, Jason Ox and Charlie Goodchild were among the other scorers for Coops in the resounding win.

And head coach Reed revealed he was relieved to record a triumph on the trip to Millwall after the St Mary’s Lane outfit struggled with availability again.

“The win wasn’t as simple as the score suggests because we struggled with players again,” he said.

“We scored some good tries and Harry was able to get a hat-trick despite only recently coming back from an injury.

“We were able to put together some good phases of play and we were happy to get the win despite our struggles with availability.”
