Three table-tennis stars from Morpeth School have become Junior British League Under-18 Division Three Champions after lifting the title in Wolverhampton last month.
The Bethnal Green school put forward a young team of 15-year-old Sally Hoang and 14-year-olds Chantal Wilson and Majada Yasmin, but the trio were undefeated heading into the second round of the championship and maintained their unbeaten record to clinch the title.
Morpeth recorded 5-1 victories over championship rivals York TTC, Irish outfit Waterside and Slough strugglers Chippenham before sealing their triumph with a 6-0 whitewash of Spicer/York Gardens, from Surrey.
Morpeth coach Grant Solder said: "To win an Under-18 title with such a young team is a fantastic achievement for the girls.
