East London’s women hit East League Division One South leaders Maidstone for six with a stunning display.

After falling behind in a shaky start, they scored four times before half time to take control.

Ailish Hendry, Carly Dickinson (penalty) and Lucy Dempsey (2) turned the match on its head, with Renske Pesch adding a fifth after the restart.

Another penalty flick from Dickinson completed the 6-1 win as Maidstone’s unbeaten record was ended inemphatic style.

The thirds beat Witham 3-1, with Jessica Ellery firing home an early short corner.

Witham levelled, but East kept calm and Lili Kettlewell struck twice in quick succession to seal the points as Lucy Scaramanga took the player of the match award.
