Tower Hamlets were on cloud nine after maintaining their 100 per cent record in East League Division Eight with a crushing derby victory.

Alamin Khan and Shuhel Malique both hit hat-tricks in a 10-1 romp against East London eighths, as Khahn Trinh bagged a brace.

And Ed Falls and Mo Momin were also on target as Hamlets, having fallen behind early on, led 3-1 at half time and went on to hit double figures for the third time this season.

They hold a three-point lead over Romford seconds at the top of the table after their ninth successive win and are looking forward to another derby encounter this weekend.

Hamlets are set to host Wapping 11ths at Lee Valley Hockey & Tennis Centre on Saturday, with a 5pm start.

Wapping are currently in fourth place with 17 points from their nine games played to date, following a 5-0 win over Old Southendian fifths last weekend
